| That's going to be me |
Sigh, so something quite amazing happened the other day. I was in the car with my boss, we were driving to Super C to pick up some lunch, it was a new Super C in town and we were all very excited, however, while driving down the road I saw something that caused me to scream and almost caused my boss to swerve on the road. I then had to explain to him why I was hyperventilating and whipping out my phone. I told him I just saw my roommate holding hands with his ex, he gave me a confused look. I quickly cleared that up. “THAT MEANS I’LL HAVE TO SOUNDPROOF THEIR WALLS!” He looked much more understanding after that. I planned on texting Kurtis right away, but held off. I would wait, since they actually were smiling while holding hands. I decided it was selfish of me to ruin to the moment they were so obviously having. Instead we headed to Super C, and I forgot about it all as I looked in wonder at how shiny the place was. But not as good as IGA, I don’t care what anyone says. At least I got to see my friend in a Super C uniform, convincing him he looked fabulous took some work though.
When I got home later that night I saw that Kenny was on Facebook, so I decided to send him a little message.
“I know what you did this summer...” I sent him, to which he replied “….uh ya?” I stayed vague for a little while longer until finally curiosity got the better of me and I told him I saw him holding hands with a little someone. Then it was like a damn broke and an emotional tide came in. If I knew the kid was that romantic I wouldn’t have roomed with him, I wanted to room with all men because they have less drama going on. But boy was I wrong, so the guy spilled his guts to me, confessing how he was a bad boyfriend and he still loves her, and damn if it didn’t break my heart and make me tear a bit. But just a bit because it took him three hours to tell me all this, I’m not going to lie either, I was totally browsing the internet during the entire thing. You would totally too if you were in my situation. But alas, this presented me with several different problems, which included;
1) The whole soundproofing thing, really, I’ve been researching how best to do this.
2) They might fight, which brings us back to number 1, but also leads us to me not liking the atmosphere
3) Her visiting all the time, not that I don’t love her but I’m a friend, who’s rooming with her boyfriend, which could lead to either her hating me, or becoming EXTREMELY attached to me. I like space. A lot.
I’m hoping for the best, I hope they stay together and work through their problems. I hope they grow old and happy together and have a ton of beautiful babies together, and they better make me a godmother! Because I’m going to be so good to them, and make sure they’re so freaking blissfully happy they won’t know what happened! That’s right, if I have to be a mediator between their fights just to make sure I get a good night’s sleep-I rather hear moaning that fighting-then so be it!
